Haven Homeplace – About Ashburnham

Elijah Haven Homeplace was a gift from Elijah's parents, Jonas and Nancy Haven, who settled the 300 acres next door just after the Revolutionary War. One of their daughters, Anna Dawn, was found on the doorstep early one morning in the mid-1800s and the family adopted her. In 1990, we purchased the farm from the Havens (the first time it had been out of their family in over 160 years) and completely updated it, created lawns & gardens and cleared the fields – leaving the charm intact. It's always a work in progress, as old homes are...and our guests say they love it. Click here.
